High School:
Joe Henderson graduated from Leo High School in Chicago Illinois. He was a captain two-year All-American in track and football. He held the 200-meter dash record as a sophomore where he led the team to a second place finish in the state track and field finals. He took second in the 100 meter dash both his sophomore and Junior season. Additionally, he was named to the Army All-Star top 100 high school football players and was honored by Mayor Harold Washington as one of Chicago's top student athletes.
College:
Joe was heavily recruited while in high school and after he sustained an ankle injury, he committed to play football for Iowa State University. While at Iowa State, he was a senior captain, three-year starter and four year letter winner. Joe was a two year 1,000 yard rusher, team MVP and All-Conference in 1987-88. In 1988, he earned All-American considerations in those two years. Joe was selected to play in the East-West and Blue-Grey all-star games where he started and was named captain on both teams.
Professional:
Joe was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 1989 and played two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. In 1991, he was a first round pick by the Birmingham Fire. After sustaining multiple concussions, Joe finished his career playing for the Barcelona Dragons.
Education:
After his career in football, Joe returned to Iowa State and earned his B.S. degree in Family Studies with emphasis on youth counseling and a M.A in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Joe is a CPT, CSCS, CFCP and PASS certified.
Personal:
Joe has been personal training for over 15 years and coaching for over 12 years. He has been trained by some of the top trainers in the country and has trained with the countries elite athletes. His dedication and drive gave him the edge to make it to the NFL, his experience and knowledge can help you take you game to the next level.
